The Great Roll Poll
Cottonelle® has a campaign going on right now known as the Roll Poll 2010. They are inviting people to visit their site and weigh in on the “Great Debate”: Over or Under. Even though it may sound like bookie speak, they are referring to the direction toilet paper unrolls from the holder. As I type this, the results are 76% Over and 24% Under.
I fall into the 76%. It is something I pay...

CardStar Application for Rewards Cards →
I’ve been using this application for a few months now and am pretty pleased with it. It allows you to enter the information from your membership and reward cards into your smart phone, thus eliminating the need to carry all of the plastic cards, and in turn, reducing keychain or pocket clutter. (yay!)
I’ve found that:
the bar code works best with handheld scanners
sometimes a...

Order On-the-Go
I’ve never liked carrying a purse. I’d much rather not deal with it. However, there is never enough room in my pockets for everything I need/like to have with me when I leave the house. A list of just a few of the items:
Keys
Wallet
Phone
Camera
Lip Balm
Business Cards
In the past year, I have decided to stop fighting the inevitable and find a purse. I wanted a shallow,...

Featuring Young Professionals
Because there are so many young professionals out there making their mark on the world, I have decided to showcase some here. Twice a month, I will feature a young professional who is doing wonderful things and whose work I think you will find interesting. But before I could ask anyone to honestly answer these soul-searching (ahem) questions, I decided to answer them here, myself.
Name: Jill...

High Five?
Do you carry cash? More often than not, I do not. Using a debit card is very convenient, less cluttered, and is easy for me to monitor with online banking. Plus, when I make an ATM withdrawal, it’s more cumbersome to categorize on Mint.
However, my mom and I were intrigued by a money saving tip in the November issue of Real Simple magazine. A gentleman named Alan Duffy, inspired by...

Bill Paying Station
Over the weekend I found this great file cabinet/mini desk in the JCPenney catalog.
I like the looks of it, the fact that it has an additional drawer above the file drawer, and that there is a writing surface on top. Plus, it’s on wheels. If you’re pressed for space, this organizer could be kept in the corner of the living room when not in use and wheeled next to the cozy chair...
